Chavtrac show the Production Melroe ESP sprayer at Sprays and Sprayers 1997

24 June 1997 :

Following the successful launch of the ESP System in May Chavtrac are pleased to show the production ESP Sprayer at Sprays and Sprayers 1997.

The production ESP machine has an all new 18metre boom made from composite material which acts as an insulator for the high voltage Charge. This boom features vertical fold outer wings with two alternate fold positions.

The sprayer system has hydraulically operated boom shut off valves operated by non conducting high pressure oil supply.

The Spra Coupe 3440 ESP is powered by the proven Perkins 1000 series engine running twin sprayer pumps - One running at zero voltage for chemical transfer from the tank and one, hydraulically driven running at 40,000 volts for Spraying.

The ESP system will be of particular interest to those growers with high value crops and those with particular application problems.

Users of the system in the USA have reduced spray volumes by up to 90% allowing large areas to be covered with a single tankfull on the lightweight Spra Coupe.

Tests have recorded up to doubled coverage on top leaves and over 300% extra coverage under crop leaves. Drift is reduced by 30% or more.

The ESP system has a huge potential for reduced volumes, drift reduction and improved pest an d disease control.

Showgoers and members of the PRESS ! are invited to try out the ESP at 40,000 volts for themselves at the Chavtrac stand at Sprays and Sprayers.

ESP machines are available in limited numbers for Autumn 97 and full availability Spring 98.

The basic Spra Coupe 3440 ESP will sell for £49,850.00 with 18m boom.

Alternative tyre equipment is available for LGP work together with a range of extras from Chavtrac. Call 01495 756 451 for more Information.
