The Chavtrac Dumpa410

SED STAND 80A MAY 20-22 1997: The Dumpa410 was launched at SED 96 in prototype form.

Following development, improvements and trials the production model is displayed at SED 97.

The Dumpa 410/2 is a lightweight, rigid hauling vehicle intended primarily for the landscaping, re-instatement and amenity markets. The 2 wheel steer, 4 wheel drive chassis is designed to allow the use of exceptionally generous tyres without exceeding legal width. This feature means that ground pressure is extremely low, even when laden, which gives the Dumpa410 superior performance when travelling on soft ground conditions.

The Dumpa 410/2 has a number of new features for 1997:

  1. A new operator cabin tested for compliance with world-wide ROPS and FOPS regulations.
  2. New suspension with increased wheel movement.
  3. A New simplified drive train with integral transfer box and automatic 4WD engagement.
  4. A New ITL Transmission with overdrive top gear for speedy transport between jobs.
  5. Automatic gear selection with microprocessor control.
  6. An up rated version of the proven Perkins 1004T engine gives 112Hp at 2600 rpm.
  7. New tyre equipment for reduced ground pressure. The Tanka 410/2 is now fitted with 7/800 mm wide Trelleborg flotation tyres for optimum performance on wet and soft ground.
  8. New wider mudguards cover the flotation tyres.

The Chavtrac 410 Chassis is also available for use with other fittings and implements such as a 1600 gallon vacuum tank or as a base vehicle for cranes, access platforms and drilling rigs. The standard tipper body has a capacity of 6 cubic m. and a payload of 10 tonnes.

Chavtrac have manufactured off road equipment since 1981 and have pioneered many developments in agricultural vehicle markets. Major expansion in production capacity has allowed this entry into the Construction Market
