Patchwork developed BlackBox to provide a bridge between entry level PDA software equipment and purpose built manufactured equipment from the major tractor manufacturers.

In order to create a unique product with a unique brand image Patchwork developed a purpose made waterproof and shockproof case. The case encloses all the connections and protects the device from wear and tear. BlackBox software takes over the normal functions of the PDA hardware,thus removing many of the criticisms of the this type of equipment. BlackBox dispenses with the need to use a stylus and all functions are operated by hardware buttons or large finger sized screen buttons. BlackBox also removes the risk of data loss through power failure in use with the close integration of data storage on an enclosed memeory card for secure storage.

BlackBox product retains its value through the ability to continually upgrade to the lastet versions of software. All versions except early Handera hardware can be upgraded to version 6 giving simple secure data recording and guidance with close integration with Webtrac data services. Webtrack Subscribers have automatic access to latest sofware upgrades for their product. Guidance accuracy can often be upgraded on earlier versions using either software or hardware upgrades.
